Application of low voltage DC brushless system on emergency spring cut-off valve

The following is the application of the Smartpath LOW voltage DC brushless system on the emergency spring cut-off valve.
Emergency shut-off valves are divided into hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electromagnetic shut-off valves, which are mainly used for safety and emergency shut-off of corrosion-resistant pipelines in the chemical industry such as liquid ammonia, gas, liquefied petroleum gas and LNG.
Working principle of the equipment:
1. The valve is in normal open state in daily work, and the motor is in idle state, without consuming electric energy.
2. When the accident occurs, the CLOSE motor works instantly and drives the actuator. The coil spring is used to release the torque stored in it and drive the valve to CLOSE quickly, with the closing time of only 1-2S.
3. When the staff has handled the accident, the electromagnet pulls in, the motor rotates, the spring compresses and the valve opens.
When the valve is fully OPEN, the CLOSE motor rotates to drive the mechanical structure to lock the valve, while the electromagnet disconnects the OPEN and the CLOSE motor stops and the valve reopens.
The whole process only takes 8 seconds.
